Sarah Bedford
Sarah Bedford is a visual artist exploring the intersections of ecology, botany, and personal mythology.
Informed by childhood wanderings on a remote cattle ranch and her years as a professional florist, Bedford’s intimate paintings of the natural world reference themes surrounding growth, decay, and impermanence. Her intuitive painting process combines fluid brushwork and complex color in abstracted botanical forms. Bedford’s interest in regenerative seed banks, as well as her research into colonial graveyards and medieval gardens, informs the multilayered nature of her creative practice.
