Jesse Greenberg is an artist and curator whose artwork has transitioned from highly engineered, intricate sculpture to an exploration of expressive painting.
His latest body of work features oil pastels on wood panels, creating a sense of musicality with tactile, expressive, dense, hyper-color fields of marks with disrupting graphics. Greenberg’s process-oriented paintings evoke a world of vague familiarity, employing blocks of color, lines, and dashes to create abstract yet recognizable spaces with social and conversational atmospheres.
