Rachelle Mozman Solano
Rachelle Mozman Solano is a photographer and filmmaker based between Brooklyn and Panamá.
By examining the impact of colonization and displacement of their family, the artist explores the psychic effects and emotional inheritance passed down through generations. Through still and moving images, Mozman Solano’s work connects history to the present, investigating how stories—spoken and silenced—are reinforced by structures of power. Informed by clinical work in psychoanalysis, their practice is shaped by a deep need to understand words, reality, and the connections between our psyches, with an emphasis on love, empathy, and expansive relationality.
