Nat Ward
Working primarily with a large-format film camera, Nat Ward uses photography to engage with the American landscape and investigate a culture that systematically discards what it creates.
He combines these photos into documentary-style essays and sprawling multi-image installations with images sourced from an expansive personal archive. In both instances, Ward uses both black and white and color photography to create an engrossing and emotionally evocative experience.
