Jenna Ransom

Jenna Ransom makes paintings and graphite drawings spontaneously, allowing the mark making itself to evolve and take form.

This sense of freedom attracts her because of the way ambiguous shapes and symbols simply emerge from abstract fields of shape and color. Her motifs reference the human figure, pop culture, her upbringing, plants, and random doodles of expression. Her work is at once abstract in form, monotonous in process, and non-traditional.
